The Dead Warriors, 2003, oil on canvas, 195 x 130 cm, 77 x 51 in
“A palomino appaloosa horse has the colour of the Sun - a colour of life.
It jumps over the floating lava to become survival and freedom.
The lava carries the dead warriors of men, eagles, a mountain lion and the peacock
- a lost paradise. But a new paradise will come.”
"The Dead Warriors" is a continuation of "The Dying Warrior". It represents “to love again”.
The Dying Warrior, 2003, oil on canvas, 195 x 130 cm, 77 x 51 in
“The Dying Warrior” is representing “the dying love”.
“The rearing horse changes its white colour to burning bronze from the lava rain. The horse is the strength to live.
Two eagles are trying to escape - like flying voices, confusing him and tearing apart.
Love is paradise, but the paradise bird (the peacock) - its tail is already burning when he flies.
The dying warrior carries the pain of a lost love. Its burning fire and red blood. He lets himself become part of the lava and the falling rocks.
The mountain lion (his totem and pride) - goes with him into the death of lava in a sacrifice to love.”

Tormenta - a circle of life, everything seemed to be in this way, but it
was not. It was the other way around. Ok. turn it around and look again. And
I did. But then I knew it would change again. It is just a matter of time
and you will see. And whatever he did, whatever they said, whatever she
knew, whatever I felt. It all starts over again. And so it did.
